V2 Pure Reverse Osmosis System
The TMC V2 Pure Reverse Osmosis System hits the shelves now and will definitely fill a huge gap in the market of r o water production for the marine hobbyist. Three sizes are available in both a standard model and an advanced model.
V2Pure Reverse Osmosis Systems are compact, professional RO units incorporating three-stage filtration:-
The 10-inch sediment pre-filter functions as a first stage filter, removing particles of up to five microns from the water, whilst also protecting and prolonging the life of the RO membrane. This pre-filter is enclosed inside a transparent filter housing, so it is easy to see when the filter needs to be changed.
The 10-inch activated carbon block filter which offers the very effective removal of contaminants such as chlorine and colourants from the water.
High quality Thin Film Composite (TFC) RO membrane, removes contaminants such as heavy metals and hardness-forming minerals from the water, as well as a high percentage of nitrates and phosphates.
The V2Pure RO System also includes an integral pressure gauge which helps to indicate when the RO membrane may need to be flushed or replace and an integral flow restrictor/manual flush valve which prevents excess water flow to the RO membrane and allows regular flushing of the RO membrane to prolong its life.
Additional modules are available such as the V2Pure De-ionising Pod which can be added to further enhance the performance of the RO system.
All units are supplied complete with a self-piercing water connector, drain clamp, 6m of 1/4" RO flexible tubing (two-metres each of white, red and blue) and a filter housing removal tool.
There are six models available - V2Pure 50, V2Pure 75 and V2Pure 100 plus the V2Pure 50 Advanced, V2Pure 75 Advanced and the V2Pure 100 Advanced.
The 'Advanced' models have all the benefits of the standard models, but also incorporate a feature-packed in-line TDS meter which measures Total Dissolved Solids value both before AND after water passes through the V2Pure RO System, providing a visual indicator of its performance..

What exactly is UV sterilization?
It's actually a very simple process for removing (referred to as filtering) unwanted free floating microscopic water borne bacteria, parasitic, fungal, viral, algae, and other unfriendly pathogens out of aquarium water by exposing it to high intensity ultra-violet (UV) light. UV light has the ability to effect the function of living cells by altering the structure of the cells nuclear material, or DNA. The end result is the organisms die off, eradicating your aquarium water of these unwanted nuisances.

Most effective if bulb is new, or replaced regularly (at least every 6-8 months).
